Smokey Bear
Cris and I used to joke about this. I have always argued that his real name was Smokey Bear, and she insisted that it was Smokey the Bear. I still think I am right, and this billboard could prove it. / It is very cool and windy today; much different than the wild weather of yesterday.
I beg to differ!
Obvisously you have not heard the camp song “Smokey the bear”.
It goes like this,
Smokey the bear, Smokey the bear prowlin’ and a growlin’ and sniffin’ the air.
He can stop a fire before it starts to flame, that’s why they call him Smokey and that’s how he got his name!
All kidding aside, I bookmarked your “Willard suitcase series” a couple years ago and found it fascinating. I have been re- reviewing it and looking through the archives. That’s how I noticed this post :- )
Ursula, thanks for following the blog. I will hold on to my Smokey story, but discussion is always welcome. Best, jon
