Jon Crispin's Notebook

American Demographics / Hope and Feathers Exhibit (Image #7)

Another Robby Aceto hand coloring gem.  So subtle.  I took this on a walk around residential neighborhoods of Santa Clarita, CA and had no idea what was going on with this house (I’d never seen anything like this in the East).  Some kind of art project, maybe?  It turns out it was much more prosaic than that.  Fumigation!

Things are moving ahead with the Hope and Feathers exhibit.  Postcards are printed and I would be happy to mail one to anyone who wants to send me a postal address.   Leave a comment and I will email back and get your details.

    Made me think of Christo.
Just been to see his oil barrels in the Serpentine.
    This is a lovely project!

    Hi Jon-
I would love one of your postcards. Our church was fumigated last year and the tent over the steeple made a very curious silhouette! How can I send you a pic?

I’m a fan of all your work. Have you ever spent time in Ecuador? Great photo ops and scenery.
I’d love to receive a postcard.

No, I haven’t been to Ecuador, but would very much like to go sometime. Thanks! I think I can get your email address of my site and will let you know if I have a problem. Once I contact you directly, I will get your postal address. Thanks, Jon

I have been loving these hand colored images. Photos 1 and 3 that you have shared so far have been my favorites.

Thanks Molly. I really like those two photos as well. It was amazing for me to pull these out of my archives some months ago. I had forgotton just how beautiful they are. I’m so happy to get the chance to show them. Cheers, Jon
