Posted in Willard Asylum, Willard Suitcases by joncrispin on 28/06/2013

I am really sorry that this is so last minute.  I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but things have been very busy.  I will be speaking at Willard tomorrow at 9 am and 1 pm.  Here are the details.

 The program
features parts of an exhibit which is now at the San Francisco
Exploratorium with suitcases, photos by Jon Crispin, poetry by Karen
Miller,MD and testimonials by former employees of Willard Psychiatric
Center. An update of the Willard Cemetery, tours of the cemetery and the
Romulus Historical Society”s Museum will be available. The program will
be at 9am & repeated at 1pm. The charge will be $10. at the door. For
further information call 315-651-5702 or 607-869-9404.

I would be so happy to see anyone who can make it.

Will the exhibit ever travel to the Pacific NW – Portland or Seattle?

I am really hoping that an exhibit will travel and am working on it. If you have any suggestions about galleries or museums, I am all ears. Cheers and thanks for the support. jon

How about the MIA in Minneapolis? They have a strong photo collection an have mounted some great exhibits.

Are you going to do another Kickstarter to make a book of the photographs? I’d pledge you can be sure.

I second Kilian – I’d be happy to contribute to a book of the Willard photos –

Carole and Kilian, Funny that you should mention this. I am leaning toward another campaign on Kickstarter and have been thinking about it a lot. I have been able to shoot about 80 of the 420 cases and will start up shooting again next Monday. I will keep everyone posted but I think I am looking at an autumn timeframe. Thanks for all the support and encouragement.
      Jon
