Jon Crispin's Notebook

Fenway

Posted in Architecture, Baseball, Sport, Transportation, Travel by joncrispin on 04/05/2014

Yesterday I got a call from my friend Scott Chasan-Taber offering me a ticket to today’s Sox game.  We drove in this morning and took the Green Line from Woodland to Fenway.  It was a beautiful day for baseball; cool, breezy, and at times even a bit warm in the sun.  The Sox lost to Oakland 3-2 in 10 innings, but it didn’t really matter so much to me.  It was just lovely to be in the park watching baseball. Thanks Scott! / Wishing you all a great week. Cheers

Jon, yes, wonderful to be at the Park. I was there on Thursday evening and enjoyed it no end despite Red Sox losing to TB. The place, the whole experience, is just magic. Great photo.

Mary, thanks for the comment. It sounds a bit trite, but Fenway is such a magical place. I’ve been in kind of a weird mood lately and yesterday pretty much wiped it out. Best, jon

Hey Jon my sister and I watched the first 6 innings here in Alameda. I was explaining to her about how Fenway is located on the highway which is hard to believe when you watch the game on TV. Glad you were there and got an extra inning to boot.

Katie, before the game yesterday I walked over the highway. It is amazing that the park is in such an urban environment. Thanks for checking in. jon
